“Electro? Post Rock? Alternative House? LoFi? Grunge? Game music? 80s? Progressive? How in the world do you clasify 3x!13?! What’s for sure is that this best of album contains a healthy dose of character and a whole lot of chutspa. This is the real deal, underground music like it should be. 3x!13 reaches down into each and every one of us. These tunes contain some of the sweetest melodies since Zelda came out and changed the course of humanity, as well as vague, catchy, and particularly smart lyrics.

rain. exploded shards. treeline outline greay. music by numbers in mud by feet, feel out the sound by sight. popping inwards while working out wounds in the 2-D monophonic boombox atmosphere. halloween at the 3 year mark, the journey never feeling an end; beginning with every other chord. dry heaves and synthetic textures overlaying the cartoon zombie insides, letting the good turn to bad as it makes way for sleep. as an unnatural fog gathers in the higher corners, the low thumping and bassline takes over the baseboards”.

“We first met Jeff at one of Eloi’s shows at London’s Fabric club. He was scheduled to play after Eloi and it was also his first gig in London. Over a few drinks beforehand, the three of us hit it off. But it wasn’t until later that we realized how much we liked his set and his music. As Jeff had already had a few releases out–on esteemed labels like Poker Flat–we knew we wanted to work with him.

This first release is all deep tech-house, the type that Jeff does with ease. The EP has a deep, groovy Cologne sound and will fill any space with a warm atmospheric breeze. And Final Scratch DJs will be pleased to have this release on-hand to not only open a set, but also to coax others onto the floor throughout the night.”

*****

“D’Incise is member of the Audioactivity collective from Geneva. In 2002 he started producing different kinds of electronic music, from dub to electronica, dangerously sliding to the more experimental ways of electroacoustic. His world is made with sound fractures, nevralgic crepitations, melancolic atmospheres and a non-dissimulated fascination for rust and faded rhythms.
In live, he works mostly in improvisation, collaborating with a few electronic or acoustic musicians (Cyril Bondi, Christian Graf, Nicolas Sordet, Johanne Bourquenez, Eric Pailhe, Aymeric de Tapol, Fabien Duscomb, Larkian, Gavin Prior, Tzii, Krzysztof Gavlas, Crashbonsai, Dragos Tara, Guillaume Lantonnet, Christophe Berthet, Gael riondel, Sylvain Darifourc, Marc Perenoud, dj Bouto, Laurent Berger).
His music is unstable, close to electro acoustic, working with textures, breaks, tensions and spectral atmospheres. He is looking for a type of reactive playing technic, distanced from the constraints of the machine. Through his live sampling, he tries to undo the distinction between the acoustic instruments and the computer, blurring your perception in order to force the audience to detach itself from its visual landmarks in order to listen more actively and independently.
From his meeting with the saxophonist Gaël Riondel and the drummer Cyril Bondi is born “Diatribes”, a trio with strong freejazz influences. In an another style, d’incise present a solo live act, closer of electronica, where he operate fluctuations suites of rythmic pulsions, simple melodies and noise waves for a destroyed dancefloor.
He also coordinate the insubordinations netlabel, dedicate to improvised music, and collectivly coordinate the audioactiviste netlabel.”
