Hace un tiempo ya, cuando solía sentirme entusiasmado por sellos como créme organization, me topé con un disco diferente fichado ahí mismo, en ese tan popular sello electro. Se llamaba “the city without windows” firmado por David Kristian. Vaya hallazgo fue para mi ese disco en un momento en que tenía la cabeza atestada de deephouse y electro old school. Un disco de ambientes con una melodía corta pero hermosa, manipulada sin ningún apuro casi hasta el cansancio. Y gracias a esta grabación, a partir de ese momento he buscado la discografía de este artista por cuanto sello ha decidido acogerlo, encontrándome con intenciones muy parecidas y otras no tanto (algo de synth pop y electro). Este live que hoy reseño, publicado en el sello Camomille, es más de ese David Kristian sosegado, paciente y perfecto que alguna vez descubrí por alla en el 2004. Más de esa austeridad armónica envolvente y directa. Más de esos ambientes minimalistas que tan eufórico me ponen.

Melissa Welch nos presenta un disco un tanto extraño en su forma, ya que es un solo track de 18 minutos compuesto de varios pasajes algo diferentes entre si. Melissa Welch es algo de IDM mezclado con texturas y voces armoniosas que hacen de este corto pero sustancioso disco algo imprescindible. Un disco de esos que no sabes si te pone triste o no, un disco que escuchas y sabes inmediatamente que quieres volver a escuchar.
